Episode 1: Misquotations
NaijaHusband: *Going on and on about his dream job* “…And I hope they give me an official car complete with a driver and new house…in fact I should demand it!”
NaijaWife: “Well…why not just wait and get the job first before you plan on which demands to make.”
NaijaHusband: *Reflecting* “You’re right. I shouldn’t run before we get to the end of the show.”
NaijaWife: “Um, I think you mean…’Run before you can walk.'”
NaijaHusband: “That’s what I meant. Otherwise I’m leaping before dancing.”
Even Longer Pause.
NaijaWife: *Sigh* “You mean you want to look before leaping?”
NaijaHusband: “That’s it! But like I was saying…it’s probably not best to focus on the money. After all money is the root of all pride.”
NaijaWife: “The love of money is the root of evil…”
NaijaHusband: “Are you asking me? Well… yes obviously! If I don’t take care and start feeling too proud, they won’t even want to hire me. So I’ll need to temper my demands because ‘pride comes before you stumble.'”
NaijaWife: “….’Pride comes before a fall’…are you doing this on purpose?!!”
NaijaHusband: “Doing what? Madam I.T.K. don’t kill me with grammar…. I’m going to bed. There’s clearly ‘no rest for the weary’ in this house.”
1 minute later
NaijaWife: *After looking it up, shouts at his retreating back* “No rest for the wicked!”
